Hillsong United

Hillsong United é uma banda originária da Hillsong Church, localizada na Austrália, que produz música voltada para o público jovem.



História

Hillsong United é um famoso grupo musical gospel formado por jovens da igreja Hillsong na Austrália. Sua música é louvor e adoração com um estilo pop-rock contemporâneo, com algumas influências de hard rock como New Metal e rock. Hillsong United tem dois líderes principais do louvor: Brooke Ligertwood e Joel Houston. O grupo já se apresentou em vários lugares do mundo. Esta banda é como se fosse uma diversificação da Banda original Hillsong, a Igreja de Hillsong situada em Sidney tem diversificações em vários lugares do mundo como a Hillson "London" alguns participantes das bandas se revezam em suas convenções um bom exemplo disto é que Joel Houston canta na Hillsong Lives projeto de Darlene Zschech. Ambas são bandas voltadas para adoração a Cristo.

O ministério da juventude

Hillsong United é o nome dado à união de todos os grupos de jovens da igreja de Hillsong: Fuel (idades 11-14), os Wildlife (15-18), o Powerhouse (18-25) e o Frontline (25-35). Hillsong United hospeda uma variedade de acampamentos e de conferências diferentes durante todo o ano incluindo Encounterfest, atolamento (na conferência de Hillsong) e acampamento de verão (Summer Camp).

O CD/DVD Hillsong United anual é gravado durante a Encounterfest em outubro; o álbum é lançado em fevereiro do ano seguinte. O último álbum do Grupo foi lançado em março de 2007 e se chama "All Of The Above", e diferentemente dos anteriores, foi gravado em estudio, tendo somente 3 músicas ao vivo do Encounterfest, incluídas no DVD.

Atualmente, o grupo lançou o EP In A Valley By The Sea, contendo 7 músicas gravadas durante o Summer Camp com os jovens da próxima geração do United, dentre elas novas e regravadas ao estilo United, em 2008 sa???????????? iu o cd e o dvd The I Heart Revolution Part one - With Hearts As One e para 2009 teremos "Across the Earth".

Está sendo preparado já para este ano de 2009 o documentário The I Heart Revolution: Part Two - We're All In This Together.
